Unless the application that is feeding data into or receiving data from the message queue(s) in on the TPA node(s) why would there be an impact? The use of the message queue as input should be treated as any other data input to the Teradata database and that is preferably by a load utility on a separate application server. There is a white paper by Bob Hahn on the "Continuous Load With TPUMP" that uses MQSeries message queue as input. A presentation of same is available at the 2001 Teradata Partners web site, Bob's presentation was on Wednesday @ 8AM.
