I may be stating the obvious here, and this is a Teradata forum, but everyone should take note that this behavior IS NOT unique to
Teradata. I have run into this from time to time in practically every major RDBMS. The funny thing is...each time it was a battle
to get "official" agreement to what was happening although it was usually very obvious.....
