The question of how to extract the date & time of statistics from dbc.tvfields.fieldstatistics has come up a few times on this
list. I would just like to point out that, instead of writing some gnarly CASE or INDEX expressions, you could define a little table
to translate the dates in BYTE(4) format to ordinary DATEs. You could do something similar with the times. Out of perversity, not to
mention my employer's restrictions, I won't divulge the details of how to do this, but I have done it and it works nicely.
