Is DBC signed on? Are you using it to monitor or something? If the currentspool doesn't reset, it implies that a query is still running.

If you run

select * from dbc.allspace
where databasename = 'dbc' and currentspool > 0
order by 3,1

it would at least show you what the spool was on.
