I totally concur..... 3NF is not a panacea to data access or providing the ability to turn data into business information assets
that sometimes is the impression non-modelers have...... 3NF does tend to be the most flexible schema in terms of its ability to
incorporate new business data and to evolve with business needs, but as was expressed herein, the import thing is to structure the
data the way that best suits the users business needs...... In this respect, having a 3NF foundation with other, tailored logical
schemas (i.e. views) layered on top to meet the varying needs of distinct groups of business users may provide a workable
solution.....
