We currently use our mainframe with Magstar tape drives to backup our Teradata systems. Our mainframe is at 100% utilization and
the backup jobs really tax the system. Two years ago we used ASF2/REEL with a poorly performing Storagetek device. We are thinking
of taking the mainframe out of the picture again.
What do your sites use for backup and recovery? How much can you backup per hour? Are you satisfied with your solution?
