Subj:   Re: Teradata ODBC and SQL Server

From:   David Wellman

Gary,

I haven't specifically tried this, but one things that's often useful with this type of problem is to check DBC.Logonoff for the time period & userid in question.

My usual take is that if there's a row in dbc.logonoff then you're logon request has got through to Teradata - if the logon failed then the column 'Event' will tekll you why. If there's no row then you haven't got through to the Teradata server and you've got a connectivity problem.

This may prove useful.

Cheers,

Dave
