Yes you are correct -- I meant NUSI.

Also yes, the create table statement is actually like

create B as
(Select L, M, N,
sum (x), sum(y)
from A
Where z between '1' and '3'
group by L, M, N)
with data;

Sorry I can't provide the real ddl or sql.

In any case, the above isn't working since I started it on Friday and as of this morning (Monday) -- the bteq session is still running. I plan to create the table A with no data and try insert/select approach.
