<-- Anonymously Posted: Friday, May 4, 2001 09:37 --> I would like feedback on how others handle ODBC access to their Teradata systems. We currently run a one-node 4700 using v2r2. Our access tool of choice is Hummingbird's BI-Query, however, we allow other tools. The issue is the level at which many tools want to access the Teradata (for example MS Access) these tools need to access DBC tables & columns. Currently we create view based databases and grant privileges at the database level and this avoids the dbc table & columns access. How are others dealing with these situations and/or will upgrading resolve these issues?
