Dave & Lee,

With my understanding of what you are trying to do the explain doesn't make functional sense. That, of course, points to your query being wrong.

There should never be a product join between a Fact table and a Dimension table because there will always be a join condition between them. Your explain shows a product join between Fact & Time. Have you missed an equality join?
