I wasn't defending NCR (really! :) and for a single table insert operation, transaction kill should be relatively easy to do. I was just pointing out the difficulties of locating everything that needs dropped in the general multi-statement, trigger case.

We've been caught 3 or 4 times in the last couple years by this very problem, and once it involved payroll history. The screaming was loud, and we REALLY wanted a kill that day. We don't take bets, we just start a completion pool. Sometimes the users even buy in. :)
