Yes,

I've the same trouble on my 3 teradata system ! so I have to use sometime the ABS policy, like this the 'online user' have always a good response time ! that means you have to switch the policy, turn into DEFAULT, as soon as the batch job become less gourmand in I/O (to not waste CPU), in that case I can play with the weight of my "BATCH" partition (when BATCH jobs are CPU intensive).

Question for NCR : Are you aware of that stuff, I thing it's primordial for an 'active' datawarehouse
