Great input and examples. It sounds like you are using it fairly extensively.
One comment, however, we use the ABS policy regularly and haven't had a problem with it. In fact, we move problem queries into
the performance group with an ABS policy so that we can limit it's impact on the system while we determine whether the query should
be aborted or not. We don't want to inadvertently abort a long running update for example.
In that same light, you might want to consider changing the system setting to force rollbacks to occur in the same performance
group in which they were submitted. The default setting is $R, which can severely impact your overall system performance.
