Like Rolf says, saturation is a fact of life. Poor performance may not be. It depends a lot on the queries, the data model, and
the indices selected. You might have a Teradata specialist (either from NCR or a good consultant) take a look at those kind of
things. I recently took the average query time in an application from around 20 minutes to around 4.5 minutes and many of the
queries from 12 minutes to less than 6 seconds - just by changing some indices to ones that were used by the bulk of the queries
run.
