Subj:   Dropping non-existent tables!

From:   Julie Sorrell

I have a database which has 3 tables which are listed in the dictionary, but do not actually exist. I know how this happened - a copy from a tape backup failed for these three tables, and hence they seem to have been entered in the dictionary, but the data didn't get restored. However, now I want to get rid of these tables, but I am unable to drop them. I just get an error "A table listed in the Dictionary is not present", and Queryman gives this a number 3668.

I'm currently ploughing through the .pdf manuals, and Brian Marshall's books, to try and find out what to do, but has anyone got any ideas how I get rid of these tables. I would try restoring them from tape again, but the backup runs over 5 Exabyte tapes, and it is so slow!

TIA
