Claudia,
A good way to improve your query in V2R3 is to use 'volatile table', that new feature allow you to create your spool as you want
(and can avoid hot AMP), some heavy query on our DWH has been dramatically improve, especially when we want to join small tables with
a big one where the field in your 'where clause' have not the same layout.
