Just another thought, was it because you have MVS Users that you do not want this to apply to?

These fields would not be in effect for MVS for example where you are using the MVS ASF or RACF security interface as you would have then issued a password as null profile and it would not be Teradata controlling the access for those users so it would then affect only the LAN users
