Sam,

Probably not what you are looking for since these are a little convoluted, but here are two options:

* First, You might be able to use the ACCEPT option in MLOAD to read the variable into a System Variable and then use the system variable to load the data value wherever you need it.

* Second, You could load the row into a one row, one column table using a bteq script and tell it to load one row from the file. Then you can use an unbounded join to join this row/column to every other row in the file once you've loaded them with a normal utility.
