Thanks Barry for your answers, it certainly helps me to understand where the performance gain comes from. Also a thanks to Bethany for mentioning a new way of looking at the design of indexs for performance. I'm not sure that I fully understand it, but I'm looking forward to being able to experiment with it (what else? cold and rainy this weekend).
