We are in the process of implementing a Time Dimension Table. The business involved is a University, therefore we have to include academic based data as well as business related data. What experiences has anyone had?

Some questions I have are,

Is it necessary to maintain the detail at 365/366 day level?

How many years are best to start with? Should they be rolled over?

Is there any quick and easy way to generate a basic, no frills table?
