It is always dangerous to make general statements about systems you do not know much about, but generally 1 GB per node works
satisfactorily for most 4700 systems. There are of course many factors that can effect the use of the memory on a TD system. You
need to use the Resusage data, especially the ResMemMgmtByNode macro to monitor your system to see how the resources are being used.
Just guessing from experience, I would say that memory is generally not the bottleneck that we see on most systems. It is usually
CPU, IO or the application. So, you probably will not see a large change in the performance by adding memory unless your system is
doing some very specific things.
