Are there 64K hash buckets in the entire system, or 64K on each AMP. Either way how can 64K buckets support tables with billions
of rows. Logic tells me that even with the 16 bit value for uniqueness, tables with multi-billions of rows would encounter
incredible numbers of hash collisions, causing severe performance problems.
This is really a philosophical question, because somehow it seems to work. I just don't understand how and I don't have an answer
when people ask me about it.
