Subj:   MLOAD DELETE problem

From:   Stuart MacMillan

Does anyone have a suggestion for this one: we're running an MLOAD DELETE task on V2 R2.1 against a 500m row table for the first time in 15 months. It's running on good old MVS and crashes with a S0C4. This crashes on production but can't be reproduced in testing.

The DELETE task has 3 parts based on ranges of different dates which are OR'd together. There is no IMPORT statement. The delete is just a simple SQL statement

Interestingly the MLOAD manual says OR's aren't permitted in a delete statement and I should use different APPLY statements with a .DML label. (page 5-51) Another part of the manual says .DML labels aren't permitted in a DELETE task. So which is right?

thanks
