| Subj: | | Admin Comment - Automatic deletion from TDATA-L due to errors |
| |
| From: | | Jay Selkie |
We have recently, and unfortunately, lost a couple of members due to errors in their e-mail addresses.
Should an error occur when a posting is sent to you, the LISTSERV will automatically send a probe message in an attempt to
determine the problem. The LISTSERV will send a probe each day until the probe gets through to you. If the probe fails four times
in a row, then it's assumed that your address is no longer valid and you are automatically deleted from the list.
If you have been receiving postings and they suddenly stop, please check your membership - you might need to resubscribe. If you
find that you have been automatically unsubscribed, please drop me a note and I may be able to tell you about the error condition
which caused the problem and then you can work with your administrator to make sure that it doesn't reoccur.
Hopefully, this won't be a problem for you. So far, there are only 5 people who have been affected and all of them are from NCR
with international addresses. Since the addresses under which they subscribed no longer work, I'm unable to contact them. Hopefully
they will realize that they are no longer subscribed and will resubscribe.
TIA
