Subj:   Re: Bteq connect to remote machine

From:   Hays McLean

Don't know if you're in the same situation that I am. We connect to Teradata via ODBC. We use, for example, Queryman or SAS to send queries through the ODBC connection. My understanding is that in order to use bteq, you must have a logon ID to the unix box in addition to your Teradata logon ID. As per policy, we don't have the unix logon capability, so I don't think that we can use bteq.

But, if anyone knows something different, please advise.
